We now have the selection process material from England Athletics Masters Association for the 2016 Cross Country event which will be held at Tollcross Park, Glasgow on Saturday 12 November 2016.
Teams will be selected by a panel based upon the the submissions made and so if you have the desire to represent England Masters at the cross country, please get your submission in. Everything you need to know is in the pack here. Please note that I must receive your hard copy submission etc not later than Saturday 23 Sept 2016 (and I have no leeway in this date because I have to set off for a marathon in Portugal the day after anyway).
This is a great chance for EMAC members to be selected to represent England -
Excellent event with a turnout of 36 EVAC runners took place at Hillyfield, Colchester as part of the Eastern AA Championships. Some really good results in various age groups. The MV35 to MV55 ran 10k course whilst the FVs and MV60+ ran a 6k course. It was a tad cold and blustery but otherwise good conditions on this undulating course. Many thanks to Eastern AA for incorporating us in their event. EVAC Results
Alex Rowe who is the EAMA XC Sec has informed us that the BMAF Open XC Championship will be used as part of the selection process for consideration of places for the British and Irish Masters International Cross Country being held this year in Dublin on 14 November 2015. Good to run against other hopefuls for selection. More info on Events.
Many thanks to Tom Salway for promoting this within EVAC and liaising with Kettering Harriers who hosted the event. Tom writes, Weather was mild but overcast and the going was pretty soft but not too muddy. It was an interesting course with some twists and turns and a welcome downhill finish over the last 400m. Adam from Kettering Harriers did a terrific job and was really helpful. EVAC Results
Why not go along to the Open Race at this year’s British & Irish Masters International Cross Country to be staged by England Athletics Masters Association on Saturday November 22nd at Wollaton Park in Nottingham, one of the most spectacular cross country venues in England.
Get to enjoy the spectacle and camaraderie of the International Event and then take a competitive run over the same 5km and 8km courses as traversed by the International. There will be three International races followed at 14:00 by the Open Race.
Any EVAC members selected as Reserves for the England teams will be automatically entered into the Open Race as England competitors free of charge to them, and any having an England vest from a previous year can wear this vest if they wish. Entry Form

Club members may be interested in this event on Saturday 14 December 2013 as it is in our area. The races are held within the Southern Inter Counties cross country programme. Shuttleworth Park is a hilly grassland course, so is good running. Please note that the race is not organised by BMAF or a regional club and so the age groups etc will not follow the BMAF pattern. Entries close Fri 29 Nov 2013. SEAA Page Entry Forms (scroll to p4&5 for Masters form)
The cross country relays return to the calendar at the same venue as last year, Moorways Stadium. The course consists of two 1 mile laps per leg. There are two races -
