Fenland 10 - 30 Oct 2011
Twenty-three EVAC runners competed in the Fenland 10 (2011).  Michael Moore of Werrington Joggers came in second with a great time of 57:15.  There were four members who were placed first in their age category : Philippa Taylor (NVH); Elaine O’Sullivan (Team Balancise); Jim Hayes (North Norfolk Beach) & Anne Martin (Wymondham AC).  The EVAC extracted results are published here.


The
BMAF Marathon Championships for 2011 event was at Abingdon 16 Oct 2011. Abingdon.  A total of seven EVAC runners took part from various parts of the area.

Fenland 10 - 31 Oct 2010
Four EVAC runners scored more than 85% at the Fenland 10 to qualify for a Peter Andrews medal. They were John Oakes, Anne Furbank, John Herberts and Philippa Taylor.

Special mention of John Oakes of C&C who is the first member to score three in one season and also to Anne Furbank of Riverside Runners who is the first to score more than 90%. Finally, it was John Herberts second medal this year.

EVAC runners had five athletes in the first nineteen finishers, all who were in under an hour. (Info kindly from Peter Chaplin)



John Oakes
The EVAC 2010 Road Race Champion is John Oakes of C&C. John achieved a fantastic 89.23% in the Wissey Half Marathon (1h 17m 47s). As a result of cracking the 85% WMA result John is awarded his second Peter Andrews Memorial Medal in 2010 - he gained his first in the Thorney 5m. Well done John. (Info kindly from Peter Chaplin)
